A dynamic and interactive, multi-sensory, music making installation.
Venue 1:  Gallery 2, Kirkcudbright Galleries
5-14 Oct 10am-5pm (Sundays 12pm-5pm)

A dynamic and interactive, multi-sensory, music making installation that runs throughout the Kirkcudbright Festival of Light until 4th November. Created by musician and inventor Michael Davis, the semi acoustic, semi automatic, multi-player musical sculpture stands over three and a half metres tall and consists of more than a hundred illuminated chime bars each of which respond to touch, with ever changing patterns of light and sound spreading out like waves across the giant instrument's surface.

Illumaphomium has toured around the world and it's visiting Kirkcudbright especially for the Festival of Light, running throughout the festival and a few weeks beyond.  You can find it in Kirkcudbright Galleries first floor exhibition space (Gallery Two) from Friday 5th October – Sunday 4 November.  The artists involved in the installation will reconfigure the installation to make the most of the gallery exhibition space.
